Tips for the week of 12/2/13 – 12/9/13
If you can’t hear it, you won’t be able to play it. Work on hearing the next note, the next phrase before you play it.
The 3 & 7 are the most important notes in any chord. Being able to identify & play them without thinking is vital.
Learn how to construct basic bass lines and practice them over chord progressions and you’ll never get lost again.
Practicing is the best way to discover new things to practice.

Find the Edge of the Cliff…
Scales don’t start and stop on the root in music, so practice them evenly (and in rhythmic patterns) full range of your instrument.
