Welcome to the Recap of my Daily Practice Tips. These tips are posted daily on my Lessons Facebook Page and on my Twitter – @saxymoni – with the hashtag #dailypracticetip I hope you find something that is helpful or inspires you to try something new!

Set target tones within your lines while improvising to practice direction and planning.

Think you know the chord changes to a tune? Try writing them out by memory.

Sometimes learning what not to do is just as important as learning what to do.

When practicing, try making a mistake on purpose, so you can practice recovering from it.

 Just do good work.

Don’t always practice soloing with a playalong track, try going solo and still keeping your place.

Did you find any of these tips helpful? Let me know in the comments below. See you next time!

  1. This may a bit off topic but I had a question concerning getting a difficult passage up to speed..

Theres a 32nd note that I need to eventually be able to play at 86 bpm but I`ve hit a brick wall at 60 Bpm for a while now.You wouldn’t happen to have any suggestions to possibly break out of this rut. Thank you
